The Ellis 6000 Belt Grinder #6000 is without doubt one of the finest belt grinders available today. Equipped with both a contact wheel and a flat grinding surface, the Ellis 6000 Belt Grinder offers tremendous versatility. You can use this grinder on mild steel, tool steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper and hardened steel. Changing belts mid-job is quick and easy. A 50-grit belt is included with the grinder, and replacement belts are available in 36, 36, 50, 60, 80, 100, 120, 180 and 220 grit.) As with all grinders, gloves and eye protection are required to ensure the safety of the operator.
Available accessories include: a safety shield that pivots out of the way when working with large pieces; a work rest to help you stabilize small parts for more detailed work; a dust chute that can either be connected to a vacuum or used to funnel grindings into a waste bucket; and a work light you can quickly swing off to the side when not needed.
